Exceptional 1970s Louis Feraud Bias Cut Silk Light as a Feather
Valerie Hayes, QUIET WEST
An early success, Louis Féraud launched his fashion house in the early 1950s in Cannes, France. With strong silhouettes and a meticulous usage of color, Féraud dressed the likes of Brigitte Bardot and the French elite well before debuting his first haute couture collection in 1958. In line with his powerful silhouettes, this 1970s dress is done in a hypnotic black organza that is embroidered with confetti speckles of lavender, grass green, and dandelion.
